She shared her frustration: <em>\u00ab\u00a0I have a PhD in Physiology, but no CRA training. Employers say they are interested in my profile, but they always reject me because I lack monitoring experience.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She asked a vital question: <strong>How can a PhD finally get hired in clinical research?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A PhD is an Asset, Not a Qualification<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It is important to understand a hard truth: having a PhD in biology or physiology does not automatically mean you are ready to be a <strong>Clinical Research Associate (CRA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the eyes of a recruiter, a PhD proves you are a high-level scientist. However, it doesn&rsquo;t prove you know how to monitor a trial according to strict regulatory standards. If an employer hires you without training, they have to invest massive amounts of time to teach you the basics.
